Visit to RNLI Aldeburgh;

Neil Smith, Phil Barrett and Sarah Houlden visited the lifeboat station at Aldeburgh. The visit had been organised by Phil, to allow some of the bike ride team to meet the crew and take a tour of the station. The May ride will start there, all the team will each donate and 'entry fee' for the May ride, this money will be donated to the RNLI. It is hoped we will donate in excess of £1,000.

Coxswain, Steve Saint and full time crew member, Steve Cable gave up their time to talk about their role, RNLI fundraising and more ideas about how the BOAB team can help raise money and awareness for them. They also gave Neil, Phil and Sarah a 'behind the scenes' tour of the station and boat.

Phil said, "I felt like a big kid, being allowed on the boat, these guys do an amazing job."

Neil, added, "It was a great chance to see what the RNLI do, listening to some of the stories made you realise just how brave these guys are."

Sarah, our official photographer and rider for the May ride, took a number of photos, see below.
